Adelaide Hills & Barossa Region
Patient, trust-based training for horses at every stage — from young horses to those needing a fresh start.
Our Approach
We believe every horse deserves to be understood, not just managed. Our training methods are rooted in clear communication, consistency, and genuine respect for the horse as an individual. We don't use force or shortcuts — we take the time it takes.
Whether your horse needs a solid foundation, a confident start under saddle, or help working through a specific challenge, we'll work with you and your horse to find a path forward that lasts.
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” — Ephesians 4:2
Groundwork & Foundation
All great training starts on the ground. Whether your horse is young and green or has developed habits that need reshaping, solid groundwork is the foundation everything else is built on. We work patiently to establish respect, responsiveness, and genuine trust between horse and handler.
Starting Young Horses
Starting a young horse well sets the tone for everything that follows. We take a calm, methodical approach — never rushing the process. Each horse is introduced to saddling, backing, and early ridden work at their own pace, ensuring confidence and willingness are established before moving forward.
Problem Solving & Retraining
Problem behaviours in horses are almost always a form of communication. Rather than suppressing the symptom, we work to understand the root cause — whether it's pain, fear, confusion, or a gap in training — and address it with patience and skill. Most horses respond remarkably well when they feel genuinely understood.
Your Involvement Matters
Absolutely. We provide regular updates on your horse's progress and welcome your involvement throughout the process. You know your horse — that matters.
